Without Audio::Scrobbler no scrobblerd. The perl module also provides a helper script aptly called scrobbler-helper.
And then there is WebService::LastFM, which provides access to audioscrobblers webservice, just as asshout (included in the scrobblerd package) does.
The perl interface for ice/shoutcast is not available through cpan (don't know why, you get it on this download page).
Some of the inspiration for this project comes from the less known trout streaming server. I never got kcast, the kde client to work under debian (unstable), but it is a great piece of perl software.
